Nearly every day, individuals deal with anxiety, grief, depression and emotional trauma. With the addition of work-related stressors, partners or children, co-occurring disorders and life transitions, many adults may require more mental health support at different stages of their lives.

Our intensive outpatient therapy program for adults focuses on emotional regulation, mindfulness, stress management and psychological coping skills. Our programs focus on coping skills that are essential for navigating life’s challenges and fostering a more balanced and positive life.

Our adult intensive outpatient therapy strives to increase stress-tolerance, foster peer learning and discovery opportunities, increase healthy communication and boundary-setting and foster a better understanding of our thoughts and emotional response.

What We Do

Our adult intensive outpatient therapy program is designed to help manage:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression/Depressive Thoughts
  • Panic Disorders
  • Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviors
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD)
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Social Phobias
  • Mood Disorders
  • Gender Dysphoria
  • Bullying

This program offers more intensive therapy than weekly outpatient office visits and does not require an overnight stay or 24-hour care.

We utilize elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in a group therapy model that centers around educational modules consisting of mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. The program includes group therapy, individualized case management with a licensed clinician and psychiatric medication management by a board-certified psychiatric provider.

Through group therapy, we prioritize learning how to break generational trauma, lowering self-harm/suicidal ideation, building healthy relationships/boundaries and improving self-esteem/self-confidence through psychoeducation and the development of healthy coping skills. Group therapy provides a safe space to help individuals relate to each other’s experiences, promotes empowerment and validation and offers emotional support to reducing feelings of isolation.

You will be assigned a therapist who will assist in managing your time here at Inland Northwest Behavioral Health. This therapist will meet with you monthly to complete a treatment plan and collaborate with you to update your treatment goals as you progress through the treatment. At the completion of the program, your therapist will help you develop a safety plan and aftercare plan to meet your individual needs.
