Adolescents deal with anxiety, grief, depression and emotional trauma nearly every day. Add school stressors and social media triggers to the mix and adolescents need mental healthcare supports that are unlike anything this generation has ever faced.
Our IOP and PHP programs for adolescents focus on the emotional, social and psychological coping skills needed to navigate living a more balanced, positive life and increase stress-tolerance while decreasing impulsive behaviors that cause negative consequences.
Our adolescent programs strive to increase effective interactions with others, understanding of our thoughts and mastery of our emotional responses.

Our adolescent outpatient therapy programs are designed to help manage:
This program offers more intensive therapy than weekly outpatient office visits and does not require an overnight stay or 24-hour care.
We utilize elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in a group therapy model that centers around educational modules consisting of mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. The program includes group therapy, individualized case management with a licensed clinician, and psychiatric medication management by a board-certified psychiatric provider
Through group therapy, we prioritize learning how to break generational trauma, lowering self-harm/suicidal ideation, building healthy relationships/boundaries and improving self-esteem/self-confidence through psychoeducation and the development of healthy coping skills. Group therapy provides a safe space to help individuals relate to each other’s experiences, promotes empowerment and validation and offers emotional support to reducing feelings of isolation.
You will be assigned a therapist who will assist in managing your time here at Inland Northwest Behavioral Health. This therapist will meet with you monthly to complete a treatment plan and collaborate with you to update your treatment goals as you progress through the treatment. At the completion of the program, your therapist will help you develop a safety plan and aftercare plan to meet your individual needs.
We have two separate adolescent groups. One group is specific to adolescents aged 12-14, while the other is for adolescents aged 15- 17.
Adolescent groups are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Rock Pointe East Building.
